Carnival's 100th Ship Celebration

[Magic]

April 29, 2011 marked a historic milestone for all of the Carnival Corporation cruise brands, including Holland America Line, as together we welcomed Carnival Cruise Line's new Carnival Magic into the family as the 100th ship in the fleet - a first in the cruise industry. This extraordinary achievement is the result of the hard work of more than 70,000 men and women who make up Carnival Corporation and their dedication to providing guests with the most enjoyable and memorable cruise experience.

As part of the celebration of this milestone within Carnival Corporation, we took part of the largest champagne toast at sea, joining 227,000 guests on 100 cruise ships around the world to clink glasses to welcome Carnival Magic.

Carnival Corporation is the world's largest cruise company consisting of Holland America Line, Seabourn, Carnival Cruise Lines, Princess Cruises, Costa Cruises, AIDA Cruises, Cunard, P&O Cruises, and Ibero Cruceros.

As part of the celebration, all of Carnival Corporation's ships were challenged in a contest to create a cake that symbolizes this historic milestone. Below is a picture created by the Zuiderdam's chefs where each layer represents one of their nine cruise lines.
