Astoria, Oregon

After two 'rock and roll' nights and a full day at sea, our first port of call was Astoria, Oregon. Astoria is the oldest American settlement west of the Rockies. It was first visited in 1792 by Captain Robert Gray. In 1805 the Lewis and Clark expedition led the explorers to the Columbia River where they stayed until March of 1806. The people of Astoria are proud of their Scandinavian heritage. This historic destination hopes to one day become a major cruise ship port.
