[Alaska_2014]

Welcome to our 14-day round-trip cruise out of Seattle. This will be our third time on this itinerary, but it is somewhat unique in that very few cruise ships visit the ports of Anchorage, Homer and Kodiak. Two years ago we were unable to stop at Homer and Kodiak due to extreme weather conditions and our captain decided it was best to try to outrun the storm bearing down on the Gulf of Alaska. Barbara was disappointed she was unable to buy a sweatshirt at the Salty Dawg Saloon located on the Homer Spit, so we just had to return once more to get her "very expensive" sweatshirt. Except for the rain in most of the ports of call, we had another fabulous cruise to Alaska, America's Last Frontier.

Sit back and enjoy a few photos of the highlights of our 2014 journey.

Welcome aboard Holland America's ms Amsterdam!
